So who are we? Currently Chaqar has two employees, Matthew Talbert, who does the developing and ShenĂ¡ Talbert, who helps with office work and data entry in addition to being a mother of two (yes, we're married). We have a network of other companies and individuals who can provide services such as design or IT support.

When he isn't working, Matthew spends his time in Google Reader, keeping up with the trends in technology and software development, or learning more about his favorite language Python. He also spends time helping test and debug software related to the open source Sword Project. Matthew is usually in the #sword and #gnomesword irc channels with the nick mwtalbert. You can learn more about the open source software we use here. He also writes business updates to help business men and women understand the software world and technology updates on more technical subjects.

The picture at the top of the page is part of an actual screenshot from Matthew's workstation. It shows emacs split into three windows. The window at the left contains a portion of code from a django view function. At the top right is the interactive ipython shell, and lower right is part of a django template. If this seems really geeky to you, then you need to check out the business updates for clear explanations of how this technology affects your business and should influence your decisions when outsourcing software development. Of course, the main message is that you should hire a company who really loves this geeky stuff and understands it, like Chaqar!
